Again, I’m going to encourage you to work with a question from our course readings.
If you decide you have to stick with this one, you’re going to need to focus on a particular language (English?) and narrow your question as you start to uncover what the debates actually are here. “Slang” in general is too big, so you need to narrow there, too. I’m concerned that you’re biting off more than you can chew here–and that this is a sort of obvious debate, where purists devalue slang and those who recognize that a language changes and evolves do not.
